Qui suis-je ? Sculpteur sur bois depuis ma retraite ; Je suis né dans le nord de la France en juin 39
Dès mon enfance, j'ai commencé à m'exprimer par des dessins, peintures sur verres. La vie active m'a entraîné dans l'industrie mécanique, travail de précision par la création de pièces
d'outillage, prototypes, avec toujours en éveil le sens d'innovation. J'ai beaucoup voyagé ; le côté artiste toujours présent au fond de moi-même. La retraite depuis quelques années me permet de libérer mes rêves et d'exprimer mon amour pour la nature et le bois. Mon principal fournisseur est la forêt, au cours de promenades, je recherche la racine de l'arbre mort qui m'interpelle. Toucher le vrai bois du vrai arbre, c'est s'immiscer dans l'univers d'une étrange passion inassouvie, toujours renouvelée ; celle que les hommes ont éprouvé depuis les origines pour la magie de l'arbre et de la forêt. Je réalise mes sculptures en utilisant ce que Dame Nature a produit par des racines de formes déterminées et d'essences différentes, qui par le temps seront réduites à néant, mais reprennent vie sous mes mains pour le plaisir des yeux. Les galets des torrents qui servent de socles font avec le bois un mariage naturel pour ces oeuvres uniques que j'ai le plaisir de vous présenter.

I make my sculptures by using what Mother Nature has produced by roots of specific forms and of differents essences, which have been reduced to nothing by time but which take on new life in my hands for the delight of the eyes in the marriage of these two materials, the wood and the stone which serves as a support for these unique works.
